Roles

Dodge	M	70-80	The sickly, alcoholic patriarch. Weak with a chronic cough, he spends most of the play stuck on the living room sofa. He is cynical, worn down, and hiding a dark family secret.
Halie	F	65-70	Dodge's pious, sharp-tongued wife. She wears mourning black early on, fixates on idealized memories, and carries on a quiet affair with the local Protestant minister.
Tilden	M	45-50	Dodge and Halie's oldest son. Once an All-American football player, he is now emotionally vacant, damaged, and acts strangely—frequently bringing mysterious harvests of fresh corn and carrots into the house from out of nowhere.
Bradley	M	40-45	Dodge and Halie's younger son. He is a violent, aggressive amputee who lost his leg to a chainsaw. He bullies his helpless father when he visits.
Vince	M	20-25	Tilden's son and Dodge/Halie's grandson. He returns home after a long absence, expecting a warm reunion, but is shockingly unrecognized by his own grandfather.
Shelly	F	18-25	Vince's confident, modern girlfriend. She enters the chaotic household as an outsider, gradually shifting from amused confusion to fierce confrontation as she uncovers the family's horrifying secret.
Father Dewis	M	60-70	A local, distinguished-looking Protestant minister intertwined with Halie's life, who gets pulled into the psychological wreckage of the household.
