Description
Jessie and her mother live together in a small, isolated country home. As the play begins, Jessie calmly announces that she intends to end her life. At first, her mother refuses to take her seriously, but as Jessie sets about making lists of things to be looked after, her sense of desperate helplessness builds. 'Night Mother is a poignant and emotionally raw exploration of depression, autonomy, and the unspoken burdens people carry.
