NotesNOTE: Kids (ages 14-16 any gender) will be seen only on Sunday 1/4/26 from 5pm to 6pm. Mandatory attendance is required for all performances (4/25 and 5/2/26 at 7:30pm and 4/26 and 5/3/26 at 2pm) and all rehearsals during week of 4/13 to 4/16/26 and tech week, Saturday 4/18/26 through Thursday, 4/23/26.
InstructionsPlease bring a headshot and resume and prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. You may sing from the show. Please provide your own sheet music in the proper key as an accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to dance at the audition.

As everyone becomes a suspect, the audience votes to decide the story’s ending—and the killer—each performance.

Clive Paget/John Jasper: M30+Bari-Tenor. A devilishly attractive cad, and he knows it. Choirmaster of Cloisterham Cathedral, and uncle of Edwin Drood. In love with Rosa Bud. Madness lurks beneath his smooth exterior. Age 30+
Alice Nutting/Edwin Drood: F25-45Mezzo soprano. Charming but determined and a lot of ego. Must command the stage. As Edwin Drood, she is an attractive, rich, and popular young man who has everything. Age 25-45.
Deirdre Peregrine/Rosa Bud: F20-30Soprano. The not-so-innocent ingenue of the Music Hall Royale, Deirdre portrays the love interest of Drood, the young, beautiful and apparently fragile Rosa Bud. Age 20-30
Angela Prysock/Princess Puffer: F40+Alto. General purveyor of all vices. Glamorous and personable. Age 40+
Victor Grinstead/Neville Landless: M25-40Bari-tenor. Helena’s twin brother. Very passionate and often angry. Falls in love with Rosa Bud. Age 25-40
Cedric Moncrieffe/Reverend Crisparkle: M40+Baritone. A member of the clergy with a mysterious past. Age 40+
Phillip Bax/Bazzard: M25+Bari-tenor. The theatre company’s perennial understudy, who finally gets his moment in the spotlight. Age 25+
Nick Cricker, Sr./Durdles: M30+Baritone. Clown Prince of the Royale” who makes the most of every line and plays the drunkard sexton in Drood. Age 30+
Nick Cricker, Jr./Deputy: M/F14-16Boy, As the Deputy, lowest in the pecking order, and very funny. Age 14-16 (any gender)
