Show InfoDisenchanted! delivers Disney princesses as you’ve never seen them before - a fresh take on these storied characters. Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs ’em?! Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the hilarious hit musical that’s anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know – the original storybook heroines have come to life to set the record straight. 'Disenchanted!', with book, music, and lyrics by Dennis T. Giacino and direction by Fiely Matias, took Off-Broadway by storm playing to sold-out houses, standing ovations, rave reviews and nominations for several prestigious NYC theater awards.

Roles

RoleM/FAgeDescription
Snow White (Soprano, A3 to C6, high belt)F0+Brassy, self-assured, and in control. The leader of the princess pack with a maternal edge and a drive for perfection—until she learns that being "perfectly you" is what matters. Strong comedic timing and leadership presence required.
Cinderella (Mezzo-Soprano)F0+Perky, quirky, and overly enthusiastic. She's thrilled to be a real-life princess but is about to realize there's more to life than glass slippers and pretty gowns. Comedic and energetic.
Sleeping Beauty (Mezzo-Soprano)F0+Flippant, unpredictable, and hilarious. A master of physical comedy and the comic foil to Snow White. Loves to dance—often uncontrollably. Must have strong comedic instincts.
Belle (Soprano)F0+A smart, witty bookworm from French lit with a very American voice. Talks to inanimate objects and is losing it cleaning up after her beast of a husband. Dry humor and subtle unraveling required.
Hua Mulan (Alto)F0+A grounded, confident warrior of Asian descent with a heartfelt story and a great sense of humor. Balances cultural pride with comedic delivery. Strong presence and connection to heritage emphasized.
The Little Mermaid (Mezzo-Soprano)F0+Formerly obedient, now wild and rebellious. She gave up her life under the sea and has some thoughts about it. She's raunchy, loud, and the life of the party.
Pocahontas (Alto)F0+Plucky, strong-willed, and sarcastic. She's been glamorized and distorted by pop culture, and she's here to reclaim her story with sharp wit and a powerful message.
The Princess Who Kissed The Frog (Mezzo-Soprano)F0+A bold, witty Black princess who's been overlooked for way too long. She's confident, clever, and full of one-liners and cultural commentary. Think regal meets stand-up comic.
Rapunzel (Soprano)F0+Big voice, big presence. Brunehildesque, campy, and unapologetically loud. German accent, Mel Brooks-style humor, and a passion for smashing the patriarchy—fairy tale style.
Princess Badroulbadour (Mezzo-Soprano)F0+A princess of Middle Eastern or South Asian descent from the Aladdin tales, fed up with being treated as a secondary character. She's sharp, puckish, and owning her story. Misogyny beware—she's rewriting the tale.
