| Show Info | Oliver! is the beloved musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel Oliver Twist. Set in Victorian England, it follows young orphan Oliver as he escapes the workhouse in search of a better life. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of characters - including the Artful Dodger, Fagin and his gang of pickpockets, the kind-hearted Nancy, and the sinister Bill Sikes. A conniving, career criminal whose charm hides a cold heart. He takes in homeless boys and teaches them to pick pockets for him. Perhaps could be described as a man of many dimensions, a leader, a vagrant, a father, a teacher, a lost soul & an eccentric. Significant character acting, singing with some dancing. Cockney accent required. Songs: Pick-a-pocket, I’d Do Anything, Be Back Soon, Fine Life (Reprise), Reviewing the Situation. Very energetic, highly personable, intelligent and savvy beyond his years, Fagin’s right hand “man”. Excellent song and dance skills. Must have a dynamic stage presence. A sensitive side and noble and likeable but hardened and streetwise beyond her years. She lives with and loves Bill Sikes, pretty, intelligent, longs for a better life. The self- righteous, self- appointed beadle, Mr. Bumble oversees the operations of the workhouse were Oliver lives as a child.
