Notes | Sly Fox, a flimflamming farce of multiple cons based on Ben Jonson's "Volpone," has primo character parts for clowns of various stripes. The play takes place in San Francisco one day in the late 1800's. Mandatory attendance is required for all performances and all rehearsals during tech week, Monday, October 14, (Columbus Day) through Thursday October 17. If you are interested in working backstage, please let us know what you would be interested in working on. Rehearsal Dates | Table read - Monday, August 12. Rehearsals vary based on role but are typically weeknights 7:30-10:00, with additional days and times added closer to opening. Some weekends possible. TBD depending on consensus. All rehearsals will be at the Hardscrabble Theater location in Farmingdale |

Show Info | "Sly Fox" is a hilarious play by Larry Gelbart, inspired by Ben Jonson's Volpone. Set in 19th century San Francisco, the farce follows the cunning Foxwell J. Sly as he tricks the town into believing he's dying. With four greedy citizens competing for his fortune, the play is a comedic rollercoaster of deception and greed. |
