| Notes | Auditions are open to adults and children in 2nd grade and above. All roles are open, and we welcome a diverse cast. Some roles can be cast as either gender. Some roles will be double-cast. No conflicts will be accepted starting April 7th unless a required school activity or a work-related absence. Multiple recurring weekday night conflicts will impact casting. There is NO participation fee to be a part of this production. |
| Instructions | Come prepared with 16-32 bars of music from the musical of your choice. Bring sheet music if not auditioning with a song from Oliver. You may be asked to stay. Those who wish to be featured dancers and/or are auditioning for Nancy, Bet and Artful Dodger should plan to come the dance auditions that will take place before callbacks on February 27th. |
| Rehearsal Dates | Rehearsals begin weekday nights starting March 3rd at 6:30 PM. Rehearsal days vary depending on part. There will be several Friday night rehearsals and a mandatory rehearsal on Saturday, 4/26 from 9:00-4:00 PM. Rehearsals will end between 8:30 and 9:00 in March and will increase until 9:30 in April. No rehearsals over the school April break |

Very energetic, highly personable, intelligent, street-smart, and savvy beyond his years. Fagin's right-hand "man." The character is a boy, but girls will be considered for this role. | Fagin | M | 40-60 | Age range 40's-60's, singer/actor. He is a middle-aged leader of a children's band of thieves. He is described as devious, a user, a sly fox, a con man, and very personable. | Nancy | F | 20-30 | Age range 20-30s, singer (good belt)/actress should have decent movement skills. Pretty, intelligent, and pragmatic. When she was younger worked for Fagin, now a "barmaid" at the Three Cripples Bar. She lives with and loves Bill Sykes, despite the abusive relationship.
